Book 2

13: BRITANNIA

Following the earth-shattering events at the end of Book 1, we are now transported to the rainy island province of Britannia, which was conquered by Emperor Claudius in 43 AD.

The first story, tres servi, sees three slaves complaining about their unfortunate lives. Then, news of a plot to kill their master reaches the farm. The plot is fully explained in coniuratio. In the story of Bregans, Salvius is attacked by man’s best friend. When he inspects the farm in Salvius fundum inspicit, Salvius is less than satisfied.
